Updated fishing reports for July 25th. 2015.
“BEST DRY FLY FISHING IN YEARS!!”
Absolutely fantastic fishing conditions right now on all the big 3. The Eagle ,Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers are in prime shape for great dry fly action. The Caddis hatch on the Eagle continues to amaze even the most seasoned guides/fishermen. Pale Morning Duns and Yellow Sally Stoneflies are also on the menu. Although the Green drake hatch has moved well upstream to Aspen on the Roaring Fork the Caddis and Stoneflies are still creating great action all day. The Colorado has been dropping all week and the fishing is really starting to turn on. Caddis, Pale Morning Duns and Stoneflies have been hatching. The Terrestrials are always going to be producing fish on the Colorado, Hoppers and Ants. The Green Drakes and big PMD’s have also started hatching on the Frying Pan. Because of the optimal water temperatures are holding at 55-62 degrees the dry fly fishing is an all day affair. Please feel free to contact the shop for up to the minute reports.
